About Dr. Alex Capano

Dr. Alex Capano made history in 2017 as the first person in the United States to earn a doctoral degree focused on cannabinoid science (DNP, Thomas Jefferson University). As CSO of Ecofibre/Ananda Professional, she oversees a $40M+ research investment in clinical hemp extract evidence.

Her 2019 study showed 53% of chronic pain patients reduced or eliminated opioids with CBD. She led the first FDA IND-authorized Phase II trial using full-spectrum hemp extract for chemotherapy-induced neuropathy. NBC News profiled her as "America's first cannabis doctor."
