About George Archos
George Archos is the Co-Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Verano Holdings, one of the largest multi-state cannabis operators in the United States. He entered the cannabis industry in 2014, becoming the first in Illinois to receive authorization to grow medical cannabis.
Under Archos's leadership, Verano has grown through aggressive expansion and strategic M&A. The company went public on the Canadian Securities Exchange in February 2021 at approximately $3 billion. Today, Verano operates in 13 states with over 140 retail locations, roughly 4,000 employees, and posted revenue of $938 million in 2023.
