About Joy Beckerman
Joy Beckerman is one of the hemp industry's most respected advocates with 35+ years of activism since 1990. She opened New York State's first hemp store in Woodstock in 1994. She founded Hemp Ace International in 2014, providing consulting, legal support, and expert witness services to the global hemp industry.
She served as President of the Hemp Industries Association, Executive VP of the U.S. Hemp Roundtable, VP of the U.S. Hemp Authority, and Director on NORML's national board. She received the HIA's Lifetime Achievement Award in 2019.
