About Nicole Elliott
Nicole Elliott served as the inaugural Director of the California Department of Cannabis Control from July 2021 until stepping down at the end of 2025. She was unanimously confirmed by the California State Senate (34-0) and led a team of 400 employees overseeing the nation's largest legal cannabis market.
She was instrumental in consolidating three separate state cannabis regulatory agencies into the unified DCC.
