About Steve DeAngelo
Steve DeAngelo is a globally recognized cannabis thought leader, activist, author, and entrepreneur with more than five decades on the frontlines of the cannabis freedom movement. Dubbed the "Father of the Legal Cannabis Industry" by former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown, DeAngelo co-founded Harborside (2006), Steep Hill Labs (2009), and The Arcview Group (2010).
In 2019 he co-founded the Last Prisoner Project, and in 2025 launched the One Plant Alliance to advance federal cannabis policy reform.
