About Tassa Saldi PhD
Dr. Tassa Saldi is the Co-Founder and Chief Science Officer of TUMI Genomics, a Fort Collins, Colorado-based biotechnology company specializing in advanced pathogen detection and genomic solutions for cannabis cultivation. An accomplished molecular biologist with over 25 years of research experience, Dr. Saldi completed her graduate and post-doctoral studies at the University of Colorado.
At TUMI Genomics, Dr. Saldi developed industry-leading qPCR tests for the detection of Hop Latent Viroid (HLVd) — the molecular cause of "dudding disease" that causes devastating yield loss in cannabis cultivation. Her published research on HLVd tissue-type variability was the first of its kind.
